5/11/20 - First day shopping from new apartment

The new apartment is about 2 blocks from a store called Tia, which is a small store that has items from lighters, to clothes, to cooking items to food. I needed some cooking utensils like measuring spoons and cups, spatula, rubber spatula as well as a couple storage containers and dishtowels. So, Tia's seemed to be the place to try.

5/11/20 - On Gran Colombia, waiting in line to get into Tia. I am 10th in line. When I got to the head of the line I found before letting me in, they took my temperature, sprayed my hands with something as well as spraying my front and back with something. There were dots on the sidewalk for the line to enforce social distancing, but once inside, there really wasn't social distancing.
5/11/20 - Video of Gran Colombia as I am standing in line to get into Tia. I am the 10th person in line.
5/11/20 - In line at the checkout at Tia. Here there is sort of social distancing in line although not while shopping. The store is really too small to have 6-ft between people.
5/11/20 - In line at the checkout at Tia. They have plastic sheeting hanging between the cashier and customer. You can see the top of it by the red and yellow balloons.
5/11/20 - As I was walking to Tia I noticed there was a demonstration going on at Parque Calderón. Because of the crowd, I decided not to walk that way, but to go up a block instead. But, on the way home, I went by and the demonstrators had left. What I read was, "University of Cuenca continue their daily protests at the government building on Parque Calderon, objecting to deep budget cuts announced two weeks ago by the Ministry of Finance. Police say the protest, one of several around the around the country, have been peaceful." I am sure these are some of the signs from the protest.
